The demand is already there
Great properties rarely fail because there isn't enough demand around them. They fail to capture the demand that already exists — travelers searching, comparing, and booking somewhere else because the path to your front desk had friction.
When we audit a property, we start by mapping where existing demand leaks: a booking engine that loses people at checkout, OTA listings that outrank the direct site, or paid campaigns optimized for clicks instead of confirmed revenue.
Three places demand leaks
First, the booking flow. Every extra field, slow page, or unclear rate erodes conversion. Second, distribution — when OTAs consistently win the guest, you pay commission on demand you could have captured directly. Third, positioning: if a property reads as generic, it competes on price instead of preference.
The opportunity is rarely creating more demand. It's capturing more of the demand that's already there.
What to do first
Fix the booking engine, align rate and availability across channels, and sharpen the story that makes your property the obvious choice. Those three moves routinely recover more revenue than any new campaign — because you're converting demand you're already paying to attract.
